Interview Tips Body language: Candidates are unaware of the language our body is speaking, especially in a tense situation. Handshake: A firm hand shake sends back a strong character and this is something lots of HRs are looking for. Weak and flimsy, sweaty hands are definitely a “NO”. what message is your body language sending. Hands: Do not overstate or magnify hand movements or gestures when you are doing interview presentation. Try do a role play or a demo yourself in front of a mirror to help you understand how much you move your hands while talking. Eye Contact: Keep eye contact but do not gaze. If you are disturbed with this kind of body language look at the interviewer's nose as it has the same effect. Do not let your eyes stray wander away from your interviewer. Position: Reflects energy, enthusiasm, passion and self control. Stand and sit upright or erect. Slouching does not reflect a positive attitude in interview body language. Fuss: Simple - do not fidget. Avoid playing with you hand, nose, clicking pens and hair. |
